Getting Started & User Guide

Welcome to Event Bracket! Learn how to quickly generate tournament brackets with the Tournaments tool, manage multi-event competitions with the Event Organizer, or integrate with our REST API.

Tournaments

Quick Start

The fastest way from a participant list to a shareable bracket — no tournament structure setup required.

  1. 1
    Create a Tournament

Open Tournaments and click New Tournament in the toolbar.

  2. 2
    Enter Details & Participants

Provide the tournament name, event name, start time, and bracket type (Single Elimination, Double Elimination, or Round Robin), then paste the participant names — one per line. Tick Public Tournament to publish a read-only link.

  3. 3
    Save & View Bracket

Click Save, then View Bracket to generate the interactive bracket or round robin schedule. Enter scores as matches finish and winners advance automatically; use Re-Generate or Print on the bracket page when needed.

  4. 4
    Manage & Share

In the list, double-click a row to edit it, use the Public URL column to open the bracket in a new tab or copy the link, and export the list to Excel from the toolbar.

  5. 5
    Add Participants

Open the event and click Add Participants to select the registered candidates or teams for each division.

Working with Lists

Tips

All record lists — Tournaments, Events, Candidates, Teams, Grades, and Fields — share the same tools:

Toolbar actions — New adds a record; Export to Excel downloads the current list; Delete Selected (tick the checkboxes first) and Delete All remove records after a confirmation.
Edit a row — double-click anywhere on a row, or use the pencil icon in the Actions column.
Delete a row — use the trash icon in the Actions column; you are asked to confirm before the record is removed.
Search — type in the filter box under a column header; start the text with % for a wildcard search.
Sort — click a column header to sort; Ctrl+Click to sort on multiple columns at once.
Paging — lists show 15 rows per page and the total number of records and pages.
